No-Code vs. Low-Code Chatbot Platforms
A no-code chatbot platform lets you design, configure, and launch a chatbot entirely through a visual interface, with no programming required. A low-code platform covers most of the same ground visually, but expects you to write custom code (scripts, functions) for more advanced logic.
No-code platforms are built for teams without dedicated developer time: you drag, drop, and connect visual building blocks to define behavior, and the platform handles the underlying implementation. This trades some flexibility for speed and accessibility — anyone on a team can build and adjust a chatbot.
Low-code platforms serve teams that want the speed of a visual builder for most of the work, but need to drop into custom code for specific edge cases or integrations that the visual tools don’t cover. This gives more raw flexibility, at the cost of needing developer time for the code parts.
